Welcome drinks and briefing with Bali Passion representatives. During this briefing, we will give you a road book and answer all your questions. We will also give you general information about restaurants, places to visit and the customs of Indonesian culture and giving you travel guides and maps of the island.

Meeting with your Balinese guide who will pick you up directly at your hotel at the end of the morning.

You can spend a part of your afternoon on Melasti Beach in the South of Bukit. OR You will explore Padang Padang Beach and its original access via a cave.

Then you will head to Uluwatu at 4 p.m to visit of Uluwatu Temple located in front of the Indian Ocean and populated by many monkeys. At sunset, around 6 p.m, you can watch the Kecak Dance performance (around 45 minutes).

Dinner on Jimbaran beach where you will taste Grilled seafood, it is delicious and inexpensive. (Dinner is not included).

Visit the Tanah Lot Temple.

Then we will bring you to discover the National Park located between sea and mountain.

You will pass through the Pupuan region, also called the rice granary of Bali. You will take a small road and your presence will surprise the farmers of this region which rarely see tourists.

Menjangan Island is the best place to do snorkeling. We suggest you to explore the marine flora and fauna in a traditional private boat with a local guide.

You will have the opportunity to explore two sites: the first along an underwater cliff and the second, shallower, in the middle of a coral garden. Approximately half a day is required for this snorkeling tour. The gear (fins, mask, and snorkel) is included.

Pemuteran is a great place to relax. There are no waves which makes it a very pleasant place for more relaxed dives. It is also the best place to observe the corals. You will also be able to practice snorkeling right in front of the hotel.

Visit a temple dedicated to the gods of the sea. You should know that the sea is considered by the Balinese to be the kingdom of evil spirits.

Then, you can enjoy a massage or observe the activity of a center ("nursery") for the preservation of sea turtles, run by Chris, a friend of Eric. (Donation not included).

You will get up at 5 o clock to see the dolphins in Lovina, included.

You will follow the coastal road to reach the small traditional market.
Then, you will take advantage of the volcanic hot springs scattered in a magnificent garden.

You will then go to meet the monks of a small Buddhist monastery.

Then take a small scenic road to reach Munduk, an old Dutch village. Short hike among mango, clove and coffee trees to reach a nearby valley to reach Munduk waterfall.

You will start your day with the hike in the rain forest with your guide, in this occasion you will discover more about the local flora. And to comeback you will need to cross the Tamblingan lake by the wooden canoe.

Then your guide will take you to visit Bratan Lake and its magnificent water temple, Pura Ulun Danu.
On your way to Ubud, you will stop at the Bedugul market, you will see colorful vegetables, fruits and flowers.

Discover the Jatiluwih region – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was in this region that the film « Toute la beauté du monde » was filmed with Marc Lavoine.

You will pass typical villages with its varied landscapes: temples, rice fields, and tropical forest. The advantage of this region is that there are very few tourists because the roads are narrow and the buses cannot access this village.

The hike up to the volcano is a moderate 3 hour round trip, accompanied by a local guide. A pair of sneakers is enough.

Start at 3 a.m. to see the sunrise from the top of Mount Batur Volcano. When you arrive, you will have to pay a local guide (1 guide for 1 to 4 people) to do the climb; charge 26 € for a guide. You are indeed obliged to take a local guide, this is a policy implemented by local government.

Once you descend from the summit of the volcano, you will go on a guided tour of Besakih Temple. This temple is the largest and most sacred temple in Bali.

On the way, you will meet the local people of an Aga community in Penglipuran. They will gladly invite you to visit their houses and take the time to explain their culture and customs.

Return to Ubud in the afternoon.

2nd option

Departure at 9 a.m.

You will visit Tampak Siring region with Tirta Empul Temple, it is famous by its holy water source, you will see so many prayers and ceremonies going on in this sacred place.

On your way, you can stop in Kintamani to enjoy the view and observe the caldera of Mount Batur Volcano.

Then you will visit on a guided tour of the Besakih Temple. This temple is the largest and most sacred temple in Bali.

Before returning to Ubud you will meet the local people of an Aga community in Penglipuran. . They will gladly invite you to visit their houses and take the time to explain their culture and customs.

Return to Ubud in the afternoon.

Ideas of activities:
Take hotel's free shuttle to get to the central Ubud; Visit the royal palace, the local market, the lotus temple, the Neka contemporary art gallery or you can do shopping, there are so many boutiques, shops and arts galleries.

You can also rent bikes for a day. The price is about 5 € per bike /day.

Or Half-day cooking class. Price 25 € / person.

Or do a Cycling Tour from Kitamani to Ubud (descent only): a driver of minibus will transfer you to the altitude village, you will set off for 30 kilometers of descent. You will pass through small paths and villages and enjoy the landscapes of rice fields. A guide will accompany you. Lunch included. The price for this activity is € 30 / person.

Or ATV ride in the middle of the rice fields and forests in Payangan, Ubud. Price is € 90 / person for Single ATV and € 150 / 2 persons in 1 Tandem ATV.

In the evening, we propose you to attend a dance show at the royal palace. The entrance fee is 6 € per person.

Or if you want to taste the famous local dish of Ubud, Bebek Betutu (smoked duck with honey), we will give some restaurants address during briefing.

Finally, there are also hundreds SPA specializing in body treatments and massages in which you can fully enjoy and relax.

Departure in the morning to the fishing village of Padangbai.

On the way, visit the Goa Lawah Temple. This temple has the characteristic of being built around a cave that houses a large colony of bats.

Padang Bay is also a great site for diving or simply snorkeling (see blue lagoon diving on the web site www.balipassion.net/fr).

You just have to go to the Blue Lagon bay. Start from the beach to enjoy the beautiful shows of the submarine world.

Then, you will go to meet the local people of an Aga community. They are the first inhabitants of Bali, present even before the Javanese colonization in Tenganan.

Visit the water palace of the King of Karang Asem in Tirtagangga, built in 1948. This water palace is built in a very unique architectural style of Bali and China.

Ideas of activities:
We can offer you a Discover Scuba Dive (DSD) with Birger from Bali Reef Divers, a Belgian French speaking instructor we work with. You can then dive on the site of the Liberty Cargo wreck which sank in 1943 and about only 30 meters from the beach.

• For a certified person: 2 dives 60 €
• For a DSD: 90 € / person.

You can also pampers yourself with massage, price about 10-15 euros/ hour.

Possibility of doing snorkeling to observe marine flora and fauna in Amed, along the coasts, the corals belt is superb.

Rent a scooter to discover the villages, there is no traffic in this region of Bali.
