Description of Borneo Package
Departure to Surabaya
Our driver will be picked up you at hotel (Seminyak, Kuta, Jimbaran, Canggu, or Ubud).
Departure from Ngurah Rai Airport, Denpasar to Surabaya by plane in the afternoon or evening.
Arrival in Juanda airport, Surabaya terminal 1.
At the exit you go right at 300m for Ibis Budget Hotel.
NIGHT IN SURABAYA AT IBIS BUDGET HOTEL, in an air-conditioned bedroom
Pangkalan Bun - Kumai
Flight to Pangkalan Bun at 06:00 am (local time) at Juanda Airport, Surabaya (Terminal 1).
Arrivée a l’aéroport Iskandar, Pangkan Bun à 07h00 (heure locale)Arrival at Iskandar Airport, Pangkalan Bun at 07:00 am (local time).
Contact our local correspondent who will take you to Kumai to embark on your boat.
The boat is a traditional wooden boat called "Klotok". It measures approximately 12m x 2.5m. The roof forms the upper deck from which you can admire the rainforest, explore the river and observe the monkeys along the river.
Dinner and overnight on the boat. Simple comfort: mattresses, pillows, mosquito net, bottled mineral water, kitchen, and toilets available on the boat.
OVERNIGHT ON THE BOAT
Camp Leaky
After breakfast, you will visit Camp Leakey - approximately 2.5 hours by boat to reach your destination. Camp Leakey is known for hosting a research center for Orangutans and also for the reintroduction of elderly Orangutans into the rainforest.
Trekking through the rainforest to discover the fauna and flora: wild Orangutans, birds, primates as well as plants and vegetation specific to the rainforest.
Lunch on the boat.
On the way back, you will be able to see the forest rangers feeding the Orangutans - at 2pm.
OVERNIGHT ON THE BOAT
Pondok Tangguy - Camp Leaky
After having breakfast, you have the possibility to choose between these 3 options:
• Return to Camp Leakey for a second visit.
• Continue the walk to the Pesalat reforestation camp from where you can watch the process of replanting the trees.
• Take advantage of this opportunity to go for a walk in the forest.
Back to Pangkalan Bun.
NIGHT IN PANGKALAN BUN AT GRAND KECUBUNG HOTEL, in an air-conditioned bedroom
Return to Bali
After having breakfast, with our correspondent, you can visit the royal palace "Istana Kuning".
Visit the traditional market and visit the traditional house of Dayak "Rumah Betang".
Departure for Denpasar via Surabaya in the afternoon.
Arrival in Denpasar in the evening.
Once arrived at the airport, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel (in Seminyak, Kuta, Jimbaran, Canggu or Ubud).
