Then direct transfer to your hotel.

NIGHT IN MEDAN AT HOTEL OF ARYA DUTA

After breakfast, departure for Tangkahan.

Arrival in Tangkahan you will cross the Batang River by a local raft or by the new bridge.

NIGHT IN TANGKAHAN AT HOTEL BEACH JUNGLE LODGE

You will drive by 4 x 4 (or local transport) to Bukit Lawang by passing through plantations and traditional villages.

On the route, you can stop to have a look at palm fields, factories, rubber and cocoa plantations.

You will take a one-hour elephant ride.

Afterwards, you will take a 20-minute ride to a small elephant sanctuary just outside the national park, where you will meet the elephants in the sanctuary.

NIGHT IN BUKIT LAWANG AT ECO LODGE LAWANG HOTEL

In the morning, we will walk alongside the river to go by canoe to the site where the rangers feed orangutans.

(We advise you to bring long-sleeved clothes and pants or sarong to protect yourself from mosquitoes).

Food distribution for the Orangutans takes place twice a day (8:00 am and 3:00 pm). You will then have the opportunity to discover the tropical flora and fauna. This journey will take about 6 hours.

NIGHT IN BUKIT LAWANG AT ECO LODGE LAWANG HOTEL

You will leave to Berastagi.

On the way you will pass through Medan, then Sembahe and finally Sibolangit. This place is famous for its much cooler climate, flowers, vegetables and fruits (Marquisa) in abundance.

From the traditional fruit market on the Gundaling hill, you will have a beautiful view of the 2 active volcanoes Sinabung and Sibayak.

Visit a traditional house of the Batak Karo tribe where weddings and funeral ceremonies with unusual rites take place that can last for days or even weeks. However, the unique traditions and rituals of this tribe are still practiced today.

Once you arrive in Berastagi, you can visit the Catholic Church of St. Francis, famous for its unique Batak architecture as well as its breathtaking view of Mont Sibayak (2 212 m).

You will also go to the market where your guide will explain everything you need to know about the tropical fruits you will find nearby.

NIGHT IN BERASTAGI AT GRAND MUTIARA HOTEL BERASTAGI

In the morning, departure to Parapat.

You will stop at Dokan, one of the only traditional Batak Karo villages that still exists today.

Then you will make a stop to see the 120-metre waterfall of Sipiso-Piso.

You can also visit Rumah Bolon, the former residence and palace of King Simalungung. This farmhouse consists of 20 households; one household for each of his wives. You will have lunch en route and once you arrive in Parapat, you will board the ferry for a one-hour boat transfer to Tomok on Samosir Island. This small island is located in the middle of Toba Lake, the caldera lake of the Toba volcano, which was formed more than 75,000 years ago. The lake is about 100 miles long, making it the largest volcanic lake in the world.

Once you arrive on the island and disembark, you will take the car to go to the hotel.

NIGHT IN SAMOSIR AT THE TABO COTTAGES HOTEL

You will visit the traditional villages of Toba Lake.

In Ambarita, you will see an ancient stone site that was the meeting place of the Kings of Sialagan.

In Tomok, visit the ancient tomb of the Kings of Sidabutar.

Then visit Simanindo where you can see the dance of Tor tor

You will be can discover the region of Samosir by cycling (Not included, count 5 euros for the day - or 6 euros for the day on a scooter).

NIGHT IN SAMOSIR AT THE TABO COTTAGES HOTEL

After breakfast return to Medan via Pematang Siantar and Tebingtinggi.

Visit with your guide of the Maimun Palace, the Great Mosque (to be discussed with your guide) and the Chinese Temple (before 5:00 pm).

Then visit the ruins of the old buildings of Dutch and Chinese architecture.

Arrival in Medan approximately 4 hours later

We will transfer you to the airport to get your flight.
