Procedures before travelling to Indonesia

FORMALITY FOR TRAVEL TO INDONESIA

Attention ! To enter Indonesian territory, your passport must be valid for more than 6 months after the scheduled return date.

Visa

 

  • French nationality:
    If your stay does not exceed 2 months (and you arrive at one of the following airports: Denpasar, Jakarta, Medan, Manado, Padang or Surabaya), there is no need to make a prior request to the Indonesian embassy; you can pay your visa directly at the airport, which is cheaper. The visa is valid for 30 days, logically renewable only once with the immigration services. Payment can be made in cash or by credit card, but the change will be returned to you in IDR.
    Prix : 37 US$ – soit environ 35 € selon le taux de change.
  • Foreign Nationality:

    If you are not on the list you will need to contact an Indonesian Embassy to obtain this visa before your arrival.

Medical

 

There is no mandatory vaccine to enter the Balinese territory. THowever, certain vaccines may be recommended to you: universal vaccines (DT Polio, Hepatitis B), Hepatitis A and Typhoid fever. Please contact your doctor for more information. Note: Bali, unlike some of its neighboring islands, is free from malaria. However, if you plan to stay in a malarious area (mainly rural areas, see directions on the Institut Pasteur website), you can ask your doctor for treatment or buy it locally.
